    Mitoxantrone Hydrochloride

    €139,15

Mitoxantrone Hydrochloride is an anti-cancer agent used chemotherapeutically for leukemias and solid tumors.  It has immunosuppressive activity and inhibits proliferation of lymphocytes and induces apoptosis of antigen-presenting T-cells.  The compound is sparingly soluble in water.

Mechanism of Action Mitoxantrone inhibits division of T-cells, B-cells, and macrophages by preventing DNA repair and synthesis, however, this also occurs in healthy cells.  It is a cytostatic anthracenedione that induces double-strand breaks in DNA.
Cancer Applications Mitoxantrone is commonly used  in cancer research to study breast cancer, leukemia, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
    Molecular Formula C22H28N4O6 · 2 HCl
