    Lamivudine (3TC) is a cytidine analog and antiretroviral medication commonly used for HIV virus and hepatitis B viral studies.

    Mechanism of Action Lamivudine inhibits HIV reverse transcriptase and terminates DNA synthesis by competing for incorporation into viral DNA.
    Spectrum Lamivudine targets retroviruses hepatitis B virus (HBV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
