    Marcfortine A

    $726.84 - $2,541.24

Marcfortine A is an indole alkaloid originally isolated from Penicillin roqueforti.  It has nematocidal activity.  The marcfortines are structurally related to paraherquamides.

Marcfortine A is soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO but has poor water solubility.

Mechanism of Action The marcfortines are thought to act by blocking cholinergic neuromuscular transmission.
Insect Biology Applications Marcfortine A has activity against the gastrointestinal nematode Haemonchus contortus (Zinser et al, 2002).
    Molecular Formula C28H35N3O4
Spectrum Marcfortines have broad-spectrum anthelmintic activity that includes drug-resistant strains of nematodes.
