Applications

    Eukaryotic Cell Culture Applications

Anhydrotetracycline acts as an inducer of tetracycline resistance genes by binding to and inactivating the tetracycline repressor TetR to allow expression of downstream genes of the tetr promoter. Tetracycline also acts as a inducer of tetracycline resistance genes; however, anhydrotetracycline binds to the TetR repressor with higher affinity without toxic effects.
