Anhydro-oxytetracycline (anhydro-OTC or AOTC) is a degradative form of oxytetracycline and is produced in slightly acidic conditions. Anhydro-oxytetracycline is unstable in acidic conditions and further degrades into two isomers: α-apo-oxytetracycline and β-apo-oxytetracycline.
